Galmere Takes Home Four Blas na hEireann Irish Foods Awards
With pride in our products, in 2019 we decided to enter three products for consideration in their own categories; and we proudly left the ceremony held in Dingle that evening with not one, but four Blas na hEireann awards!
Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards celebrate and reward the very best tasting Irish food and drink products, and the passionate, driven producers who make it.
The Blas awards are the biggest blind tasting of produce in the country, and the criteria on which the product is judged as well as the judging system itself, which was developed by Blas na hEireann with the Food Science Dept of UCC, is now recognised as an international industry standard. Our Four Blas na hEireann Awards From Our 2019 Wins
We were delighted as our own branded fresh pesto, Pestle and Mortar landed a double win in the Pesto category!
Our Sun-Dried Tomato Red Pesto took the Gold, and our Green Basil Pesto took the Silver in the highly competitive sauces category.
Our third award, came in the form of a Gold Award in the Soups: Chowder category, for our Signature Tastes & Inspired by Centra Seafood Chowder. And, to our delight and surprise we were awarded “The Best in Galway” award, which is a monumentally proud moment for us, to receive this recognition.
It’s a delight for us to be acknowledged by Blas na hEireann for our quality, and now we have four awards to add to our display! They’ll be in great company amongst our 2013 Silver Award for our Spicy Cous Cous & 2011 Gold Award for our Pesto.
We could not be more proud of and delighted for our talented team that work so hard to create these award winning foods!
